Rockies Pipeline Developments

Increased pipeline capacity is critical to maintaining Rockies gas prices at levels that are comparable to other regions of the U.S.

Rockies producers are expected to benefit from additional pipeline capacity that will connect them with higher priced markets to the east and west. The most important of these expansions is Rockies Express ("REX"). With a capacity to deliver 1.8 Bcf/d, REX will be the largest natural gas pipeline constructed in the U.S. in 20 years. A special thanks to Intelligence Press for allowing us to show their report on the truly superior nature of REX. Click here to view the article.

As REX is being completed into the northeastern U.S., it is expected to be complemented by additional pipeline capacity.  These new lines would transport Rockies gas to key markets on the West Coast and to the gas-intensive regions of Chicago and the Midwest.
